The Wireline Voice Operations is leading the enterprise in the evolution of advanced Voice technology projects implementation and managing network incidents effectively.

What you will be doing:


  • Provide technical leadership to Network Operations and Engineering team members.
  • Provide operational support for Core Wireline Voice platforms and advanced Voice Services during business hours and 24/7 on a rotational basis. Work night shift as required.
  • Provide expert level support for change control activities including impact analysis, MOP reviews, change implementation and postactivity verifications
  • Act as a top tier technical resource within Network Operations to investigate and resolve network incidents
  • Perform proactive analysis of Voice Network, VM/OS systems, and Voice Applications, tuning and optimization to improve our customers' experience.
  • Perform traffic and data analysis to discover insights from network analytics for designing and developing of actionable performance metrics, alerts, and KPI dashboards to capture and restore service degradation
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Project Management, Vendors, various TACs and other groups to ensure seamless introduction of new technology, platforms, and services into production
  • Create and maintain all related network and support documentation
  • Establish best practice standards for VM, cloud adoption & automation framework to drive efficiency, improve service availability and to reduce incident MTTR.
  • Support Network Architects in the development of the architectural direction and governing policies establishing necessary testing requirements to evaluate proposed designs and validate technology platforms
  • Act as a SPOC on rotational basis, review, assign and follow up on all incident and change tickets.
  • Transform network architectural concepts and engineering designs into daytoday operational guidelines, procedures, and practices for Network Operations department.

What you have:


  • Passion for emerging technologies and love keeping up with the latest technology trends.
  • Deep understanding of current and future Wireline Voice Core Network, Cloud, Virtualization/Hypervisor Platform and Services
  • 3+ years of experience on VM/ Cloud Services configuration, operations, and maintenance
  • 5+ years System Administration/ DevOps experience in a largescale, multiOS (Linux/Windows/VMWare, CentOS, Red Hat etc.) highavailability environment required with knowledge of infrastructure automation, security governance & compliance, patch, cost, and performance management
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Electronics/Telecommunications Engineering with a proven track record in large MSO or carrier operational environments
  • Demonstrated work experience in Translations and Configuration on Ribbon, Titanium, Neustar, and Oracle platforms; C20 Soft Switch, G6 G9 Media Gateway, SBCs, ENUM and Stir & Shaken
  • Strong working knowledge of SIP, SS7/ISUP, H248, MGCP, ISDN Q.931 standards, and related Voice protocols.
  • Working knowledge of Voice Calls, Tollfree call routing, IN Services including 800 and LNP
  • Advanced level skills in using tools like Tektronix, NetScout, Wireshark, Dynatrace etc.
  • Strong knowledge of current and evolving Network Management principles, protocols, and architectures; IP networks and protocols, routing, switching (OSPF, BGP, MPLS, VLAN, TCP/IP, UDP).
  • Strong knowledge of Unix and Linux operating system, scripting languages like Java, Python, PHP, VB script, Perl, bash, SPL for Splunk
