Position Summary:
The Stores Clerk is responsible for functions within the Maintenance department, specifically those relating to inventory and maintenance material control.
Relationships and Contacts:
This person reports directly to the Stores Supervisor
Major Responsibilities:
- The control and distribution of all maintenance materials, spare parts, and stock items.
- Verify inventory records and correct discrepancies.
- Distribute storeroom materials in accordance with requisition forms.
- Order items to restock storeroom and maintain minimum inventory levels.
- Ensure the storeroom is kept clean and orderly.
- Receive inventory to match packing slips, expediting orders and back orders.
- Inventory control, cycle counts.
- Data entry and filing.
- Kitting parts for work order jobs to be executed.
- Maintain instructor certification for plant equipment as required.
- Maintain a high level of energy, urgency, and responsiveness to ensure plant production is maximized.
- Equipment safety training for employees.
- Other duties as assigned.
Health and Safety Responsibilities:
- Using or wearing the protective equipment designated by the accident prevention policy.
- Follow safe work procedures.
- Reporting immediately to their supervisor any unsafe conditions or acts.
- Reporting all accidents or injuries to your supervisor immediately.
Food Safety Responsibilities
- Commitment to Quality System Policy
- Enforce quality and food safety programs within the role.
- Communication of food safety issues to related department and action within the role.
- Active participation in food safety, food security, health, sanitation, hygiene, and quality program within the role
Qualifications and Abilities
- Must be selfdisciplined; with the ability to be well organized, precise, and attentive to details.
- Able to work independently, primarily alone and with mínimal supervision.
- Ability to drive stand up forklift.
- Able to work with, and enforce, applicable company policies.
- Excellent interpersonal skills; both written and oral.
- Willingness to take the initiative to share relevant information as required.
- Focus on problem solving and continuous improvement.
- Very customer driven.
- Strong computer skills; knowledge of Microsoft office and AS/400.
Physical Requirements:
- Stand/walk for 8 hours.
- Ability to squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, use ladders, climb stairs.
- Lifting up to 50lb/23kg
- Carrying up to 50lb/23kg
- Pushing/pulling up to 50lb/23kg
Salary:
$15.00-$21.09 per hour

Education:
- Secondary School (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- Class 5 Licence (preferred)
