The Park & Tilford Kumon Centre is looking for one PERMANENT part-time assistant to work with children ages 3-15 (sometimes older) in an after-school math and reading centre.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be energetic, reliable, have strong interpersonal skills, and enjoy working with children
- Experience working with children or tutoring is an asset
- Shifts are Mondays and Thursdays from 3:15pm 8:00pm. Start time is FIRM. Finish time will vary depending on workload. Sometimes we have less work and will finish early; sometimes we have more work and will finish later. I am looking for someone who can work either Monday, or Wednesday, or both days.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Marking class work and homework with the answer books provided
- Guiding students through their work using the Kumon Method
- Setting up and cleaning up the classroom
- Communicating with parents
- Answering the phone during class hours
- Data Entry
