Our Opportunity
We currently have an opening for a Reality Capture Technician - Mechanical Designer in our Reality Capture Team. This position is a combination of field and office work and requires the ability to travel as required.

As a Reality Capture Technician, you're responsible for performing on-site 3D laser scanning, and then compiling, registering, and reporting the collected data to generate 3D models and client deliverables.

You will perform field visits to various project sites and locations. This includes loading the equipment for transportation, set-up of equipment at sites, and demobilizing equipment when scanning is complete.

This position will also be required to compile various reports, documents, and/or drawings of findings, and other duties as needed.

Requirements:

High school diploma, Mechanical Engineering Technology Diploma, Bachelor's Degree or other related degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Valid Driver's License, no restriction preventing air travel, and no restrictions with renting vehicles is required. Survey Certificate is preferred but not required
Work experience in surveying, construction or facility maintenance is ideal
Familiarity with Leica/Trimble equipment and software is helpful
Leica Cyclone, AutoCAD experience is a plus
Experience working in a support role in a team/group setting
Knowledge of geomatics and survey is an asset
Structurel Technologist, Civil Technologist & Geomatics Technologist may also be considered for this position
Strong Sense of initiative, ability to identify next steps, and offer support where needed
