Operations Manager
The Route and Field Supervisor of Wasteco will work closely with dispatch and field operations to ensure the efficient and safe delivery of our services.

Job Duties
- Actively monitor our drivers and field staff to identify areas of improvement
- Ensure that all drivers are conducting a proper pre/post trip inspection
- Routinely planning and rerouting when necessary to ensure efficiencies to meet customers' needs
- Assist in the organization and direction of the activities related to a high standard of servicing operations, including missed calls and regular route audits to address customer concerns
- Supervise and evaluate the performance of assigned personnel
- Coordinate with operations and review work to ensure accuracy, completeness and compliance with established standards, requirements and procedures
- Responsible to communicate and provide to the Operations Manager a daily detailed report on any and all activities
- Assist with the processing of insurance claims involving fleet vehicles and work related injuries
- Inspect the physical condition of the workplace both internally and externally
- Identify situations which may be a source of danger or hazard in the workplace and provide recommendations to Wasteco
- Receive worker health and safety concerns and complaints, discuss problems with management and recommend solutions
- Review all workplace injuries and accidents
- Be present at the investigation of an incident and complete an investigation report on all incidents (personnel or property damage)
- Conduct new hire orientations when required
- Any other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years' experience within transportationbased industry with focus on waste management
- AZ/DZ license an asset
- Ability to interpret company policies and procedures
- Familiarity with Ontario's Occupational Health and Safety Act
- Knowledge of applicable laws, codes, regulations, policies and procedures
- Excellent time management skills
- Experience driving commercial vehicles an asset
- Ability to collaborate with internal staff and senior management
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- High level of critical and logical thinking, analysis, and/or reasoning to identify underlying principles, reasons, or facts
- Proven skills to interact effectively with employees in order to direct work flow, assess performance
- Strong dedication to health and safety in the workplace
- Ability to plan and organize, prioritizing as necessary
Work Conditions
- On the road supervision 80% of time
- Ability to work flexible shifts and days
- Weekend and Holiday Work

$73,000.00-$78,000.00 per year
