About this opportunity:

The Life Enrichment Coordinator, under the direction of the Life Enrichment Manager, is responsible for working alongside residents who are participating in various home activities.

The Co-ordinator will develop, implement, and facilitate various retirement home activities, ensuring the safety and enjoyment of all participants. They will also be required to input documentation using web-based programs such as ActivityPro and PointClickCare.

Qualifications:

University degree or College Diploma in Recreation/Leisure Studies, and/or a degree/diploma in Health Sciences and/or Social Services, from a recognized university or equivalent education and experience.
A registered Recreation Therapist (R/TRO) or in process of registration with TRO is preferred.
Developing and sustaining a plan of care to meet residents' assessed needs based on individual strengths, needs and interest of residents to establish importance and direction of therapeutic recreation intervention.
Ensuring that thorough evaluation of assessments, intervention plans, program development and program delivery is consistently being completed to ensure the efficacy of recreation services.
Ensure the safety of all residents when they are participating in activities outside of the retirement home.
Follow all organizational policies and procedures.
Other duties as assigned.
