Chudleigh's Blossom Café is located in Historic Downtown Milton and offers a quaint place to relax and enjoy our signature desserts and beverages year-round.
More than preparing great beverages and desserts, our café team members pride themselves on connecting with every customer and the community.
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Manager to join our team.What you bring to the table:
- Must have previous experience managing a team
- min 3 years.
- Experience in a hospitality/café setting
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Customer service skills to meet and address customers' requests, demands and concerns.
- Skills in both management and administration
- Must be able to lead by example and have strong implementation skills to lead the team to success.
- Availability and flexibility for a schedule that includes opening and closing and weekend shifts.
- Previous barista training
- Food Safety Handling certificate.
- Smart serve certification is a must.
- Experience with the Revel POS is an asset.
- Must pass criminal background check.
Primary duties and responsibilities:
- Be the brand ambassador of our branded products.
- Show leadership in creating a culture that revolves around the experience. and enjoyment of food and beverages.
- Helps to create and maintain a culture of accountability and continuous improvement that adheres to standard operation procedures (SOP's) and processes.
- Demonstrate high personal integrity, business ethics and takes every opportunity to promote the venue.
- Customer service skills to meet and address customers' requests, demands and concerns.
- Lead by example by maintaining a positive and lively tone that is inviting and encouraging to our customers and coworkers.
- Training of all cafe staff.
- Preparing weekly work schedules for staff and finding suitable replacements in cases of staff absence.
- Coach staff on performance opportunities.
- Organize break schedules.
- Manage inventory and maintain adequate levels of supplies.
- Receiving delivered café supplies and verifying that the correct items and quantities have been delivered.
- Ensure that health and safety protocols are adhered to
- Suggesting new menu items based on customers' preferences and feedback.
- Identifying strategies to retain and attract customers.
- Ensure health and safety regulations are followed.
- Good management of time and organizational skills to handle a multitude of tasks
- Additional duties as assigned or required.
