Position Summary:

Information Technology is one of the most significant assets at CTC.

With practically every business process intertwined with IT, security of this component is fundamental to the success of the company and its objectives.

The IT Audit Co-Op role provides an important function of assessing IT and security controls crucial to achieving those business objectives.

What you'll do:

The incumbent will have the opportunity to experience auditing and IT operations/processes and appreciate the significance of IT functions to achieve business objectives.

There will be an opportunity to perform some data analytics, as well as IT risk assessments.

There will be day-to-day tasks such as attending audit walkthroughs, documenting control implementation, testing evidence received from the client and supporting with tasks on diverse IT audit projects.

There will be learning, development and coaching on the job; however, for the incumbent to be successful in this role, they will need to be able to work independently and take initiatives.

There will be times when the IT Audit team is busy, so close supervision is not always possible. That will be the time/opportunity for the incumbent to reach out to help others, during the busy times.

The incumbent will have the opportunity to develop strong project management and communication skills in this position.

They will also be exposed to the field of IT auditing as well as high-performing, professional and dynamic work environment.

Given the need/situation, the incumbent will have the opportunity to work with other team members from other audit groups/disciplines (i.e. Finance, Operations).

There are co-op positions in the other audit functions and there is also a rotational FAA (Finance Associate Analyst) program which provides exposure to other areas outside of Audit (i.e.

Accounting, FP&A, Retail, etc.)

Who you are:

You are a passionate student looking to gain real world experience in the field of internal controls -specifically with IT controls and security.

What you've done:

The incumbent is a student enrolled in a Business, Math, or IT (Computer Engineering/Computer Science) Bachelors program in the 3rd or 4th year.
High GPA is ideal, with participation in extracurricular activities.
Previous successful work term(s) completed is preferred.
Microso
