PRIMARY FUNCTION:

The RoRo Billing Clerk handles all aspects of RoRo receivable processing as well as assuming other finance responsibilities as assigned.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Includes the following, and other duties as may be assigned:

  • Generating invoices and customer statements
  • Collect and process customers payments
  • Liaison with all customers regarding account status and settlement
  • Weekly reviews of collection status and followup as required
  • Investigating and resolving any irregularities. Respond to customer inquiries.
  • Accounts Reconciliation, post journal entries, customer invoices and maintenance of general ledger
  • Update and reconcile cash payments
  • Provide weekly and monthly reporting on revenue at a customer level
  • Meet stringent deadlines for weekly vessel revenue, month end, and year end tasks
  • Support operations and IT with process improvements
  • Assist billing team with other billing activities as directed by the Revenue Manager

QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.

  • Accounting diploma or similar preferred or 12 years related work experience
  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles
  • Proficient in Excel, Word and Adobe Acrobat
  • High degree of attention to detail
  • Able to follow policies and procedures
  • Excellent organizational skills and time management
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks

COMPENSATION:
This is a 12-month contract salaried position
