Payroll Technician - Canada - LCI Education
Description
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support & back up to the Payroll Administrator & Benefits Specialist;
- Reconciliation of the Group Insurance invoices;
- Follow up on Group Insurance enrollments;
- Coordinating with HR about payroll changes (Onboarding & Offboarding);
- Carry out activities relating to Canadian payroll production for unionized and nonunionized employees within the required deadlines in accordance with fiscal regulations and the company's policies and procedures;
- Drafting employment related documents;
- Data entry and upkeep of payroll and HR data using the payroll/HR system;
- Production of various monthly reports;
- Investigating and taking corrective action regarding errors or warnings related to payroll matters;
- Collaborate in continuous improvement and standardization of payroll and HR processes;
- Oversee the employee onboarding process;
- Other tasks and projects as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of three to five (35) years of experience in a similar position;
- Canadian Payroll Association (Payroll Compliance Certification) is an asset;
- Good knowledge of payroll rules;
- Experience with Microsoft Office Software, particularly with Excel;
- Bilingualism (French/English);
- Have a strong sense of priority and experience in managing multiple projects and files simultaneously.
