is looking for an _experienced and hardworking _
Heavy Equipment Technician for Civil Construction city projects in and around the Greater Edmonton Area.

Responsibilities:


  • Trouble shooting equipment and perform equipment repairs
  • Interface with field staff in order to diagnose repairs
  • Work with the Fleet Manager on various tasks
  • Provide support with reference to onsite safety requirements
  • Act as a leader and mentor for other members of the shop

Qualifications:


  • Minimum 25 years' experience
    experience working in
    civil construction is considered an asset:
  • Experience working on highway commercial vehicles, _considered an asset_
  • Interprovincial Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Certification
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills, both written and verbal
  • Understanding of the Caterpillar product line, _considered an asset_
  • Must possess a strong dedication to safety
  • Engine and/or component rebuilding experience, _considered an asset_
  • Transmission or Hydraulic testing, _considered an asset_
  • Ability to perform tasks with mínimal supervision
- _Some_ computer skills needed
