About the role
We're looking for an Underwriter Assistant to join our growing Specialty Lines Auto team


What you'll do here:


  • Process insurance policy renewals, endorsements and cancellations and new business.
  • Prepare new business for input into our systems.
  • Responsible for data integrity of policies and assists Underwriter with data quality.
  • Provide legendary customer service to brokers, by responding to their requests and inquiries regarding changes to policies, through written and verbal correspondence.
  • Support Underwriters with their service requests.
  • Build relationships and networks to support your professional growth and success.
  • Innovate through your contributions to improve efficiency.
  • Identifies and assigns incoming inquiries to appropriate individuals.
  • Other administrative duties and tasks as required.

What you bring to the table:

  • Post secondary education or relevant office experience is preferred
  • Adaptable and flexible with the ability to prioritize work and thrive in a high volume, fastpaced environment
  • Highly organized to manage workflow efficiently without continuous supervision
  • Excellent customer service and relationship building skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proficient data entry skills and strong attention to details
  • Team player with a positive, cando attitude
  • Computer proficiency and the ability to navigate through multiple systems
