Job Description:

Role Summary


The Refinish Technician's primary responsibility and accountability includes providing an exceptional and successful customer experience through meticulous refinishing to ensure a quality refinished repair of each customer's vehicle to restore it back to pre-accident condition.

The Refinish Technician thoroughly mixes, color matches and refinishes each vehicle while playing a pivotal role to Boyd's promise of speed, quality and customer excellence.

The Refinish Technician works in alignment with all team members in achieving the repair facilities KPIs and is committed to being a dedicated Brand Ambassador of Gerber Collision & Glass at all times.

Reporting Relationships- Directly reports to General Manager- Has no direct reports


Accountabilities- Complete 5 I‐CAR course requirements in the first 12 months of service.- Comply with all Company policies and procedures as outlined in the handbook.

Key Education, Experience, and Skills


Required:

  • Red Seal or Journeymen Certificate
  • A minimum of 2 years previous experience in a collision repair facility refinish role
  • Ability to use selected vendor materials and general supplies efficiently and cost effectively
  • Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
  • Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
  • Ability to interpret work scope from vehicle estimates or work orders
  • Comprehensive knowledge of vehicle repair practices
  • Effectively work in a fastpaced environment, demonstrating multitasking ability while working under pressure
  • Must have excellent color vision (ability to identify and distinguish colors).
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must provide your own tools
  • Must be willing to complete I-CAR Training
  • KPA Training
  • Maintain inventory of product maintain safe working area
