Pneumatic Control Technician
**$43.10 per hour

  • The work will be scheduled by the Maintenance Team Leader and will normally be performed on the _
- day shift; however, shifts may occasionally change for operational requirements. The regular weekly _
- hours of work are 37.5 hours. This Unionized position is governed under the Collective Agreement _
- between the TDSB and Maintenance & Construction Skilled Trades Council._**

    Qualifications:
  • Certificate of Qualification in related Trade.
  • Certification and a minimum of five years experience in the maintenance of Pneumatics Controls.
  • High knowledge and proficiency level in the Trade.
  • Experience in servicing a wide range of mechanical systems within the Board.
  • Knowledge of HVAC preventive, predictive maintenance programs and the regulatory requirements
- affecting maintenance.-
Must possess a legally valid, non-probationary driver's license and maintain a driving record
**for which the TDSB insurance provider will extend coverage at all times.


Duties/Requirements:


  • Troubleshoot, repair, replace, set up, calibrate pneumatically controlled components of hydronic and

- steam heating systems.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, adjust multizone HVAC units considering indoor/outdoor control of primary and
- secondary heating loops and hot deck / cold deck reset.
  • Set up, calibrate, repair unit ventilators, considering day / night setback operation.
  • Set up, calibrate 3way valve control for scheduled hot water considering outdoor air temperature.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on components such as compressors, moisture separators, damper

- actuators.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings and manuals.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the TDSB's safety procedures and Occupational Health and Safety

- regulations.
  • Coordinate with other trades such as Steamfitters and BAS Technicians on HVAC issues (ability and
- willingness to work in a team environment).
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Travel between sites and transportation of equipment (i

e:
operation of a personal or Board vehicle);

  • Ability to work independently as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.
