    Description

    We are looking to hire Heavy Equipment Mechanic Apprentices tojoin our team at the TimminsWest Mine in Timmins,ON., on a full-timebasis.

    The schedule is 5-5-4, 10-hour shifts rotating days and nightseach week.

    In this role, you willsafely and efficiently complete maintenance activities to maintain thereliability and condition of the mobile heavy equipment fleet throughout allareas of the mine. Duties include troubleshooting, cleaning, lubricating,adjusting, inspecting, repairing, component replacement and rebuilds, welding,fabrication, and low-voltage electrical repairs. This position is part of anapprenticeship training program under the guidance of a Lead Mechanic andincludes completion of underground common core training, working on the beat,and both surface and underground shop maintenance.

    Please note that this role requires relocation to the Timmins areaand is not a camp-based position.

    Compensation: Thisposition offers a compensation range of $ $46.60 per hour, based on qualificationsand experience, experienceevaluated based on completed trade hours.

    While our ideal candidate has the following qualifications, we welcome applicants who may not meet every criterion to apply.

    • Completedtheoretical/in school Heavy Duty Equipment Technician Levels 1-3.
    • Working towards gaining Red SealMechanical Certification
    • Experience in an industrial settingis considered an asset
    • Strong troubleshooting skills
    • Experience in a mining environmentand welding certification are considered assets
    • Basic UG Hard Rock Common Core isconsidered an asset
    • Be committed to safety
