We are currently seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist who can be nice, will seek inspiration from our roots, can commit to achieving results the right way and loves to think big to join us on our journey.

The Quality Assurance Specialist is a member of our CAI team, reporting directly to the Senior Manager, Quality Assurance.

This role will manage the recruitment function with a focus on ensuring that the strategic vision and processes for talent and retention are aligned with Roots organizational objectives.

working with the Product Development teams, this Quality Assurance Specialist embraces Quality Assurance, and utilizes their knowledge to maintain the quality & integrity of the Roots Brand.

The Quality Assurance Specialist for Roots will be responsible for:

  • Assessment of fabric / garment tests & production inspection reports.
  • Communication of results to Roots Makers & Roots Product Development Teams, (includes analysis and problem solving for positive results with the Roots Product Development Teams).
  • Active participation in technical reviews for different product category every season.
  • Maintenance & update of Roots quality guidelines, (Procedure Manual and Vendor inquiries).
  • Accurate maintenance of QA documentation, including product feedback inquiries from retail

Experience and Education:


  • Degree in Textile Technology / Clothing and Textiles preferred.
  • 58 years of experience within an apparel Quality Assurance environment, including experience with fabric & garment testing protocols.
  • Experience with lab testing environment.
  • Experience with production environment / garment construction and fabrications.
  • Knowledge of garment and fabric construction, terminology, measurements, and workmanship.
  • Knowledge on PFM and chain of custodial documents.
  • Experience in Children wear, and related safety guidelines preferred.

Knowledge and Skills:


  • Prominent analytical, and research skills.
  • Strong written & verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment.
  • Detail oriented, accurate and highly organized.
  • Working knowledge of SharePoint.
  • Experience with Interlink portal preferred.

Travel:

Car and valid driving license
