Sony Electronics is seeking a Collections and Claims Analyst based in our Toronto Canada location.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is $44,000 to 58,000 CAD.


The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.


Responsibilities:


  • Serve as the primary contact for customers of assigned portfolios
  • Investigate and resolve all customers' inquiries/requests
  • Ensure all billings (debits, credits & invoices) are created & communicated to customer in a timely manner
  • Ensure timely payment for all billings of accounts
  • Ensure customer claims are reviewed, validated & processed timely
  • Ensure customer accounts are reconciled accurately and timely to meet A/R KPI
  • Work with Credit, Cash App, Sales, O&O, Marketing and Logistics, offshore, Finance, etc. teams to resolve and prevent collection/claims issues
  • Develop business strategies to optimize/improve customer currency levels and achieve AR DSO targets set by management
  • Oversee offshore teams performing back office transactions and processing and ensure service levels, policy compliance, and work quality are acceptable
  • Identify, initiate and implement process improvement opportunities to optimize operational efficiency and reduce profit leakage.
  • Support business goals, projects & KPIs defined by Business unit and management team

Required:

  • Years of Experience in related work: 2 years
  • Experience claims processing and basic understanding of Credit and A/R
  • Understanding and use of SAP in Sales and Distribution & OTC
  • Microsoft Office: Outlook, Excel (Intermediate to Advanced), Word, Power Point
  • Selfstarter and the ability to work independently in a fast paced environment
  • Outstanding collaboration skills, proven ability to work with multiple stakeholders across business lines to accomplish shared goals.
  • Good communication skills (verbal, written and presentation)
  • Language skills related to the countries in the selected Region (French for Canada)
  • BA or BS Degree with concentration in finance, accounting or business preferred
