We are currently looking to add a Labourer to our Wabush, NL shop team.

Reports to:
Shop Foreman/Lead Hand on Shift

Shift: 5x2

Location:
Wabush, NL

Responsibilities:

Mechanical assembly assistant.

Dress mining Electric Shovel and Drill components, such as saddle blocks, breakout wrenches, crawler frames, and other common mechanical tasks.

Track and manage inventory on consumables and usage.

Arrange and organize materials for jobs.

Show some skill with hand tools and assembly and/or fabrication skills.

Duties may include moving machinery, tools and products to correct shop locations using an overhead crane/ telehandler or forklift.

Duties in the manufacturing and or refurbishment process for general labor tasks.

Painting components.

Prepping components for shipping ie:
strapping pallets, arrange with the warehouse to receive components for shipping.

Assist Journeymen welders, mechanics and machinists. Follow directions from peers and supervisors.

Strong focus on shop cleanliness and removing excess material/garbage's daily.

Other duties, as assigned.

Qualifications:

Completion of high school diploma.

A minimum of two (2) years' experience in a manufacturing and or refurbishment environment an asset.

Able to lift up to 50lbs.

Welding / grinding skills an asset.

Overhead crane or Mechanical lift truck experience an asset.

Previous related experience an asset.

Valid Driver's License and own transportation are required.

Must have a strong safety focus.
