    Contributes to the overall success of Business Banking ensuring individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed & delivered in support of Global Transaction Banking strategies and objectives. The Senior Manager acts as the functional expert/relationship manager with the business line and the development and coordination of marketing strategies to drive overall revenue growth.

  • Lead the development of the comprehensive marketing strategy for merchant services within global transaction banking by incorporating stakeholder and partner feedback, overseeing the annual marketing plan, and leading the continuous evolution, design, and implementation of diverse corporate marketing initiatives such as branding, digital marketing, channel delivery, targeted campaigns, sales enablement & thought leadership
  • Collaborate closely with the global transaction banking business line to identify and oversee partner marketing opportunities aimed at leveraging competitive advantages
  • Develop short and long-term plans with responsibilities ranging from concept development to execution and measurement with internal and external partners
  • Initiate and coordinate the use of services provided from Global Marketing units such as: Events & Hospitality, Graphics Services, Digital marketing (including website support), Sponsorships, etc.
  • Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed? We'd love to work with you if you have:

  • University degree with Major in Marketing, with 7+ years' experience in a marketing management role
  • Incumbent must be considered an expert in their field and provide credible advice and counsel to business line management (VP and higher) as it relates to marketing communications
  • Broad knowledge of financial markets with some familiarity with Business Banking
  • Previous b2b, account-based & merchant service marketing experience are assets
  • Previous experience with sales enablement tools (Salesforce, Workfront etc) is an asset
  • Strong persuasion and negotiating skills, to build constructive, supported solutions and obtain co-operation and support from stakeholders and senior management and cost-effective deliverables from agencies and third party vendors
  • Ability to build strong relationships with external partners and senior management teams of the business lines, Global Marketing, Scotiabank partners
  • Detailed understanding of customer segment(s), products/services and value propositions as well as online media and the use technology in marketing
