Little George's is a locally owned and operated restaurant and has been a community favorite in south Nanaimo for over 30 years.

A positive and supportive work environment is most important to us and we are looking forward to having an experienced and energetic cook to join our team

Full time position. Must be available evenings and weekends.


Duties:


  • Prepare and cook food items according to recipes and quality standards
  • Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations
  • Set up and stock stations with necessary supplies
  • Ensure that food is prepared and served in a timely manner
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operation of the kitchen
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies as needed

Experience:


  • Previous experience as a line cook or in a similar role preferred
  • Knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary terminology
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced environment while maintaining attention to detail
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently when needed

Salary:
$19.00-$24.00 per hour


Schedule:

  • Evening shift
  • Weekends as needed

Supplemental pay types:

  • Overtime pay
  • Tips

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Nanaimo, BC V9R 3Y1: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
