We are looking for an EIT to join our Power Engineering & Field Services team as part of the Power Operations Rotation Program.

EITs are given the opportunity to work in Power Operations through multiple 12-18 month departmental rotations. These opportunities will shape their professional development while offering consistent and training for the Professional Engineering designation.

Areas of impact will include wind turbine reliability, renewable asset performance reporting and issue resolution, asset management, operational planning and strategy, and standard professional development.


The incumbent will have responsibility for ensuring asset performance and reliability data is accurately interpreted and acted upon to support the safe and efficient operation of Enbridge wind and solar facilities.

What You Will Do:
New EITs can expect to start in the Power Operations Engineering department where they are responsible to:

  • Support the management and coordination of the blade inspection and repair program
  • Drive reliability program deliverables by liaising and providing direction to stakeholders. Complete equipment root cause analysis and develop action plans to remediate equipment issues.
  • Support the identification of equipment reliability issues through SCADA data and component reliability data analysis.
  • Develop and maintain documentation on standard practices and procedures for safe and reliable operation and maintenance.
  • Assist with the automation and routinization of regular reporting within Power Operations.

Who You Are:

  • University degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or other related engineering fields)
  • Recent graduate to 2 years related experience
  • Ability to work with mínimal guidance
  • Passionate in the renewables industry and willingness to learn.
  • Proven problem solving, decision making, communication, project management, and interpersonal skills.

Working Conditions:

  • Office environment with up to 15% travel to field locations and industry conferences based on permanent work location.
  • Wind turbine site environment to monitor and observe work performed. Applicant must be able to climb vertical stationary ladders inside wind turbine towers to heights greater than 250 feet.
  • Occasionally, employee may be required to work in adverse outdoor weather conditions in temperatures greater than 35C and lower than 20C.
  • Environment is fastpaced, and deliverables based with competing deadlines to support aggressive operating reliability and cost goals.
