Summary:

Reporting to the Director, Support Services or Supervisor, Laundry and Linen, loads, unloads, and delivers linens utilizing a tow motor.

Provides laundry services by collecting, sorting and distributing laundry and/or linens.

Qualifications / Skills and Education:

Education
Grade 10, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Skills and Abilities
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Ability to deal with others effectively. Physical ability to perform duties of the position. Ability to organize work. Ability to operate related equipment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Loads and unloads carts of linen from Regional Laundry Truck and delivers to Linen Services Room utilizing a tow motor as required.
Delivers clean linen carts to wards/departments, and picks up soiled linen from designated areas for delivery to the laundry.
Collects, sorts and records soiled linen and laundry. Delivers soiled laundry to laundry room.
Transfers clean linen from clean linen carts to hospital carts according to determined quantities and quotas.
Cleans and maintains related equipment and designated areas.
Performs other related duties as required
