Junior Chemist, you will take pride in knowing you helped create quality products that are enjoyed by customers internationally.
The R&D department operates on 2 shifts
- days & afternoons, from Monday-Friday. Some flexibility may be required.
- Safety Shoes are required._
Your Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing new products, materials, and processes.
- Support business development related to science and technology activities.
- Leadership role in quality assurance processes
o Coordinate the mixing and testing of all new materials.
o Operate all lab and plant equipment.
o Assist in conducting studies of new ingredients and compounds.
o Prepare reports based on test results.
- Interact with compounders, technical staff, lab personnel, and production associates to ensure procedures and tests being performed are meeting requirements.
- Other duties as needed.
Your Qualifications:
- Reliable transportation, excellent attendance
- Timemanagement skills and positive attitude
- Good physical stamina:
o Working in the heat
o Fast-paced and high-pressure work environment
- Able to work as part of a team but also independently
- Strong attention to detail and problemsolving skills, basic math skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry
- 13 years of professional experience in the plastic, rubber or chemical industry preferred
