- Strong communication skills to engage with stakeholders and provide clear guidance on safety protocols with the ability to write clear reports and manuals.
- Adaptability and initiative to address safety challenges independently and drive improvement.
- Ability to lead audits, inspections, and investigations.
- Certificate in occupational health and safety, emergency management, or related discipline.
- 5+ years of experience administering Health and Safety systems and Emergency Management systems.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation such as the Alberta Occupational Health and Safety Act and Alberta Emergency Management Act.
- Canadian Registered Safety Professional designation or ability to obtain.
- Valid Class 5 Alberta Driver's License with an acceptable driving record.
- Auditor qualifications through a recognized certifying body would be an asset.
- Experience within the electrical and gas industry is advantageous.
