Position Summary:
Under the direction of the Executive Director, Regulatory Affairs & Assistant Corporate Secretary, this position is responsible for assisting in a variety of legal, governance, procurement and regulatory matters as well as providing executive administrative support to the General Counsel, Chief Privacy Officer & Corporate Secretary.
Key Accountabilities:
- Supporting the design, documentation, implementation, and ongoing management of department processes and technology tools, including records management;
- Assisting with coordinating the accurate and timely workflow of regulatory reporting to ensure the Terms of Registration are maintained in all Canadian gaming jurisdictions including maintaining a correspondence log of all regulatory filings;
- Assisting with managing litigation claims;
- Assisting with tracking external invoice payments related to the legal department;
- Working with the legal team to ensure adherence with GCGC's Corporate Governance Manual;
- Assisting the Executive Director, Regulatory Affairs & Assistant Corporate Secretary and Senior Legal Specialist with the following:
- business license renewals.
- Assisting with administration related to Crown Partner deliverables;
- Assist with organizing and tracking contracts and agreements;
- Ensure that the procurement database contains accurate and uptodate contract files;
- Participate in special projects related to contract management and process improvement;
- Arranging and maintaining meetings in Outlook, along with coordinating meeting requests, rooms, teleconference and videoconference meetings and catering, as necessary;
- Working with various internal and external stakeholders to satisfy regulatory reporting requirements and GCGC policy requirements;
- Providing support to the General Counsel, Chief Privacy Officer & Corporate Secretary with scheduling and general administration tasks; and
- Providing administrative support for the department, including but not limited to data entry and drafting correspondence.
Education and Qualification Requirements:
- Exceptional oral and written communication, organizational and administrative skills.
- Experience in a legal environment is preferred.
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills.
- A high standard of professional ethics and conduct.
- Exceptional organizational skills.
- Comfortable working in an executive environment.
- Maintains strict confidentiality.
