COMsolve is seeking an experienced Telecom Technician to join our engineering team, to handle the following responsibilities:- Auditing and keeping track of all the RF testing tools, devices, SIM cards and vehicles (70% of the role)
- Vehicle Support - ensuring the vehicles are equipped and configured properly for Drive Testing (15% of the role)
- Drive Testing (15% of the role)
The office work will be done in the Mississauga office and the Drive Testing will be done (mostly) around the Greater Toronto Area, collecting the cellular signal to improve customer's network.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Meticulously auditing and keeping track of all the RF testing tools, devices, SIM cards and vehicles
Ensuring the vehicles are equipped and configured properly for Drive Testing
Driving the test vehicle to collect RF signals and record for further processing and analysis.
Measuring coverage and quality of the cellular network signal, mobile network latency, voice/data services, user QoE and evaluate the performance KPIs using cellular drive test equipment.
Qualifications:
- Technical knowledge of telecom equipment and telecom testing
- Attention to details and meticulous approach to tracking telecom equipment
- Solid understanding and interpretation of data collected and signaling
- Works well under pressure
- Experience in driving around the Greater Toronto Area
- Clean driving record
- Available to travel and test around Ontario when needed and occasionally stay overnight in hotels
