    Company Description


    Formline Architecture + Urbanism is an award-winning architecture firm located in North Vancouver, BC, founded by Alfred Waugh who is one of the few registered First Nations Architects in Canada.

    Our specialty lies in creating custom cultural and innovative wood buildings, structures and installations that celebrate and elevate the local values and ambitions of the individual client or greater community at large.

    We work on environmentally responsible and culturally sensitive projects that reflect and reinforce the values and visions of our clients.

    When working with communities, we strive to include a diverse array of members in the design process to ensure that the building is cherished by, and functional for all.

    Our main services include Full Architectural Services, Master Planning Studies, Feasibility Studies, Sustainable Design, Interior Design.

    Role Description

    This is a full-time on-site role as a Project Architect with a minimum of 5 years experience.

    The Project Architect will be responsible for day-to-day tasks such as production of drawings, consultant coordination, leading the design team, communicating with clients and other stakeholders, and managing the design process from conception to completion.

    Qualifications

    • Expertise in Architecture and Architectural Design
    • Strong communication skills to lead and guide the design team and communicate effectively with clients and other stakeholders
    • Experience in Design Management and overseeing the design process from the concept to completion
    • Knowledge of Construction Drawings and ability to create welldetailed and accurate drawings using tools and software. At lease 3 years REVIT experience is required
    • Excellent problemsolving skills and ability to think critically and creatively and sketch details
    • Experience in sustainable design and knowledge of environmentally responsible design practices
    • Experience in wood design and knowledge of wood construction techniques would be highly beneficial
    • Experience in Contract Administration
    • A degree in Architecture and registration with AIBC
    Salary Range

    $65,000to $100,000
