Uvaro's Manager, Contract Instructors assumes responsibility for managing the pipeline, recruiting, scheduling, and performance for our Contract Instruction team. Working closely with Contractors, Delivery and Product to ensure we are delivering a stellar "in-class experience" to members.


In this role you'll:


  • Develop current contractteam processes into a streamlined, scaleable function; making use of appropriate tools/ systems and collaborating with appropriate stakeholders in order to do so.
  • Onboard new contract instructors to Uvaro Delivery processes, content, and systems.
  • Facilitate onboarding with contract instructors to new programs as they are developed and released.
  • Work with contract instructors to establish and maintain a schedule of engagement in collaboration with Lead Course instructors.
  • Resource contract instruction team as needed, interviewing and recruiting potential team members.
  • Manage a pipeline of new talent into contract instructor roles to meet capacity needs in collaboration with Sr. Manager, Member Programming.
  • Work with the Product team (Delivery Leadership) to plan/ deliver Instruction Team Update meetings with senior leadership on a quarterly basis.
  • Collect, track, and reports on metrics relevant to delivery quality and consistency.
  • Work with instruction team leadership on opportunities for improvement within the program and related processes.
  • Fill in for lastminute class coverage as needed for instructors.
  • Performance management/ call feedback for all contract instructors: 1:1's, class feedback, performance reviews associated with contract renewal timeframes.
  • Identify, plans for changing needs as course offerings diversify in collaboration with Product team, Delivery Leadership and Enablement
  • Selfassess your own mental health on a routine basis: has strong selfcare habits
  • Proactively track for potential signs of burnout and offer appropriate solutions to instruction team members

In the first six months you'll:

  • Assess and improve current performance management tools and processes
  • Build out a robust pipeline of talent for the contractor pool
  • Learn to work with the existing contract team, collaborate with Product, Instructional Design and Full Time instruction, and Customer Success Teams
  • Collaborate with fulltime instruction team to build out a pipeline of guest instructors in Foundations Cohorts
  • Drive stability of our NPS and retention rates
  • Build and use effective scorecard systems in order to report on Contract Teams health and performance
