Position Overview:

As a Customer Service Representative / Receptionist at Wave Twin Rinks Hockey Arena, you will play a vital role in creating a positive and welcoming experience for all visitors, guests, and members.

Your primary responsibility will be to assist and support customers, handle inquiries, provide information, and ensure smooth operations at the front desk.

This position requires excellent communication, organizational skills, and a passion for delivering outstanding customer service.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Front Desk Operations:_
  • Greet and welcome visitors, guests, players, and parents with a friendly and professional demeanor.
  • Manage the reception area, ensuring it is clean, tidy, and wellorganized at all times.
  • Monitor access to the facility and verify visitors' credentials as needed.
  • Customer Assistance:_
  • Provide detailed information about the arena's services, programs, schedules, and events to customers.
  • Address and resolve customer concerns, complaints, and requests in a courteous and efficient manner.
  • Assist customers with registration for various programs, leagues, and activities.
  • Offer guidance and support to firsttime visitors and new members.
  • Payment Processing:_
  • Handle cash, credit card transactions, and electronic payments accurately and securely.
  • Process payments for services, memberships, and merchandise sales.
  • Maintain records of transactions and update customer profiles in the database.
  • Event Support:_
  • Assist with the coordination and execution of events, tournaments, and leagues at the arena.
  • Provide onsite support during events, ensuring smooth registration, guest assistance, and general event logistics.

  • Assist in maintaining office supplies, forms, and informational materials.
  • Help with filing, data entry, and recordkeeping tasks.
  • Collaborate with other staff members and departments to facilitate efficient operations.

_ _Adherence to Policies and Safety Measures:
_

  • Ensure compliance with the arena's policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
  • Promote a safe and secure environment for all customers and staff members.

Qualifications:


  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in customer service or receptionist role preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in using computer software and basic office equipment.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities effectively.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

Working Hours:

This is a full-time position with working hours from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM on weekdays, with occasional evening and weekend shifts to support events and busy periods.


Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekends as needed

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Burlington, ON L7M 1H5: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Education:


  • Secondary School (preferred)

Experience:


  • Call center: 1 year (preferred)
  • Customer service: 1 year (preferred)
