Position Overview:


As a Yard Person/Forklift Operator at the Langley Concrete Group, you will play a critical role in our distribution process.

You will be responsible for safely operating a forklift to transport materials and products throughout the yard, loading and unloading customer trucks, and aid in the efficient delivery of our concrete products.

This is a hands-on position that requires attention to detail, strong communication skills, and a commitment to safety.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Safely operate a forklift to move materials, products, and equipment throughout the yard.
  • Load and unload materials from trucks and storage areas, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Assist with inventory management by conducting regular stock counts and reporting discrepancies.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to company safety standards and procedures.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
  • Perform routine maintenance on forklifts and report any mechanical issues to the maintenance team.
  • Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries.

Qualifications:


  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid forklift operator certification.
  • Two (2) or more years proven experience operating a forklift in an outdoor environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately follow instructions.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and work in a fastpaced environment.
  • Commitment to safety and adherence to company policies and procedures.

How to Apply:

$30.85-$38.95 per hour


Expected hours:
No less than 40 per week
