Job description
As a member of this team, you will be responsible for:
Major Responsibilities
- Solid foundation working with HVAC systems, Preventative Maintenance, Fire & Life Safety Systems.
- Operate a variety of equipment such as; truck with a trailer, truck with a snowplow, walk behind sweeper, backpack blower, lawn mower, string trimmer, hedge pruner, skid steer
Perform tasks in snow removal and landscaping such as snow plowing, sweeping, blowing, hauling, shoveling, mowing, trimming, ice melt/prevention, etc
- Demonstrate safety leadership and safe work practices at all times
- Respond to service requests and emergencies
- Portray a professional and courteous image of the organization as a frontline contact with clients/tenants
- Perform regular inspections and record keeping of the site locations while ensuring the appearance is in accordance with contract and Company standards
- Meter readings, daily boiler readings, water treatment and building operations via the building automation system
- Basic programming, scheduling and commanding of equipment through building automation system
- Maintenance on all mechanical equipment including monthly, quarterly, and annual preventative maintenance tasks
- Minor plumbing and mechanical repairs on base building equipment
- Monitoring the building automation system to ensure tenant comfort and to ensure systems are running at maximum efficiency
- Contacting and managing 3rd party contractors for projects and repairs as required
- A minimum of 5 years industry experience and can demonstrate good mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting knowledge and skills
- 5th or 4th Class Power Engineering certification is needed for this role.
- Journeyman/Journeywoman certificate in millwright would be considered an asset
- Education: minimum high school diploma with sufficient building maintenance experience may be considered.
- Knowledge of building systems and controls, HVAC trouble shooting and repairs, and experience with automation systems would be an asset

$26.00-$28.00 per hour
