POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Recommend DEI best practices in areas such as innovative hiring, learning and development, mentorship, collaborate with HR Leaders to executive the DE&I enterprise initiatives.
- Implement DEI awareness training that builds knowledge and understanding and competencies across the organization.
- Chair the Corporate Diversity Council
- Establish Employee Resources Groups (EFG) at the Business Unit level for the effective implementation of DEI programs and plans.
- Work with internal and external partners to manage the collection and disclosure of DEI related data for milestone tracking, ad hoc and annual reporting.
- Collaborate and partner with HR, Talent Development, Communications and Social Impact teams to develop DEI plans and related communication for internal and external use.
- Develop a multiyear DEI strategy and multiyear roadmap. Partner with HR and Learning to equip managers with the mindset, skill set/behaviors and tools to lead inclusively. Develop DEI programs and coaching for leadership buy in and follow through.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A passion for DEI work: demonstrated understanding and experience for all facets of diversity, equity and inclusion and ability to challenge barriers.
- Demonstrated solid understanding of DEI leading practices, policies and tools and experience in building inclusive programs and practices. Ability to develop metrics, evaluate progress and adapt strategy as needed.
- Experience with Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Plans in US and Canada and knowledge of related legislation and laws at the Federal, and State/Provincial levels.
- Strong leadership skills and exceptional emotional intelligence; ability to engage and influence at all levels of the organization. Strong collaborative, communication and coaching skills, able to build positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders and inspire action.
- Strong ability to facilitate challenging discussions with groups and individuals. Welldeveloped written and verbal communications including report writing.
- Above average and demonstrated change management and project management skills.
- Ability to travel within Canada, the US and Mexico.
- Previous experience working in a matrix reporting organization structure.
EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:

- Postsecondary education in HR, Business or other related fields OR an equivalent combination of experience and education.
- Must be fully functioning in a full suite of Microsoft products.
