Help us raise awareness for the 1 in 10 Canadians living with kidney disease. The Kidney Clothes Program is a fundraising initiative of the Kidney Foundation of Canada

• Ontario Branch. The proceeds from donations of used clothing are used to fund a variety of programs.

We are looking for someone to join our Kidney Clothes family that can work - 2 shifts per week with occasional Saturdays.

Our shifts start at 7 am and are generally hours. The job entails driving to different cities daily to pick up donations in residential neighbourhoods.


The Part-time Driver position description:

• Physical labour with repetitive lifting on shifts that average hours.
• Driving a foot cube truck.
• Work is performed in all seasons and weather outdoors.
• Pickup and delivery of donated merchandise in accordance with specified procedures
• Communicating with donors effectively and in a professional courteous manner
• Ensure truck is driven in a safe & conscientious way
• Perform vehicle checks and clean/maintain truck on a daily basis
• Maintain appropriate and accurate records
• Build awareness of the Kidney Clothes Program though attending community functions on occasion
• Other duties as required

Qualifications:

• Valid Ontario drivers license G class with clean abstract and minimum of one year commercial driving experience.
• Proven track record of excellent attendance.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs continuously throughout the day in all weather.
• High school education.
• Familiarity with Kidney Clothes territory (South Central and Southwestern Ontario).
• Proficient in use of hand held devices including tablets, cell phones and GPS.
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities quickly and effectively.
• Ability to remain calm, act professionally and have a disposition to successfully navigate the stressful situations.
• Ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of people.

$22.00 per hour
