Bilingual Commercial/OTR Sales
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Sales Management:
- Establish and manage contractual relationships with endusers in the Canadian mining industry.
- Develop and maintain a healthy, professional relationship with all key and senior contacts within each enduser account, at the head office and site levels.
- Develop and maintain a healthy and professional relationship with all key and senior contacts within the manufacturer / supplier group.
- Participate in industry specific organizations and associations and conferences, for example: CIM (national and chapter), Canadian Coal Association, Tire Industry Association, and MinExpo.
- Actively pursue, qualify, and develop a working business relationship with potential new account opportunities.
- Establishes and maintains positive and effective relationships with suppliers
- Respond to all RFI's and RFQ's from existing accounts, new opportunities, mine development firms (e.g., engineering).
- Communicate regularly with Operations Manager and involve, as required, in customer meetings to ensure consistent and accurate flow of information regarding site operations.
Health and Safety Environment:
- Be fluent with, lead by example and support all aspects of Kal Tire's Health and Safety program throughout the MTG operations
- Participate in CSR initiatives including understanding the customers requirements and ensuring operations are aware of required practices.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of environmental goals and objectives.
Training and Development:
- Be fluent with Kal Tire MTG Tire Technician training program in order to effectively communicate the benefits to endusers, which includes existing and prospective customers.
- Participate in an overall Manpower Strategy for the MTG Operations
- Planning, Recruiting, Retention, and Succession Planning.
Support of Major Accounts:
- Manages Kal Tire's relationships with large mining / commercial customers and ultimately ensures profitable growth, exceptional service, competitive differentiation, and vertically integrated relationships.
- Acts as the overall "relationship manager" within these accounts. Ensures we meet the expectations as outlined in the agreement; we deliver ongoing value; and we communicate the benefits of partnering with Kal Tire.
- Using a variety of sales program results; reports back on success to the clients; proactively deals with issues.
- Prepares and analyzes reports indicating how Kal Tire is helping clients to be more efficient; ensures reports are provided in a timely manner.
- Works in conjunction with the credit department, handles billing inquiries and ensures billing is accurate.
- Communicates to store on an ongoing basis about issues related to key accounts (customer needs, billing, consistent service standards across various locations etc).
- Maintains awareness of competitors' sales activities within accounts and develop strategies to maximize sales and overcome threats.
- Stay on top of client's growth plans and market trends; ensures Kal Tire is responding to client's changing needs and changing market conditions.
WORK EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum five years in a outside or commercial sales role within a medium to large organization.
- Minimum 3 years' sales experience directly related to major asset purchases and contract management in the industrial sector.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Excellent analytical, interpretive, and computer skills.
- Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal along with strong problem solving skills.
- Ability to exercise sound judgement and to identify/resolve problems.
- Understands the core value of customer service and the key influences that drive value, increased revenue, and service delivery improvement.
- Able to deliver effective results and to meet deadlines and targets.
- Demonstrated decision making skills as well as ability to effectively prioritize.
EDUCATION:
- Degree or diploma in sales, marketing or industry specific certification.
- Equivalent combination of education, training and experience will be considered.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Frequent travel required.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Bilingual. (French and English)
