Line Cook

We're looking for 2 lines cooks to join our Agora team Looking for full or part time availability, with a range in hours of 25-40 hours per week. Must be available to work 2 weekdays and 1 weekend shift, daytime or evening.

Pay: $18.50 to $19.50 per hour, depending on experience + tips

Location: 921 Queen St. West

Summary of Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Kitchen Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

• Consistently offer professional, friendly and proactive guest service while supporting fellow colleagues
• Help coordinate production as it relates to restaurant and catering functions
• Maintain proper rotation of product in all chillers to minimize wastage/spoilage
• Ensure storeroom requisitions are accurate
• Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of all work areas, utensils, and equipment
• Follow kitchen policies, procedures and service standards
• Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage
• Schedule: Afternoons, Evenings, Weekends, Holidays
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in the Culinary field required (1 year)
• Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
• Highly responsible & reliable
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
• Ability to work cohesively as part of a team
• Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
