Schedule:
_Full-Time hours per week)_

  • Monday-Friday
  • Required to work one (1) to two (2) evenings per week; either Tuesday and/or Thursday until 8:00 pm


  • Saturdays

  • Two (2) per month _closed on all long weekends_

Accounts Receivable Responsibilities:

  • Manage accounts receivable, process payments, and maintain accurate records of financial transactions.
  • Process incoming insurance payments in compliance with office policies and procedures
  • Facilitate payment of overdue balances by sending payment reminders and contacting patients
  • Follow up on outstanding payments and negotiate payment arrangements, implementing effective collection procedures when necessary
  • Maintain and organize 'Explanation Of Benefits ' records
  • Maintain a good relationship with our patients, helping them understand their account statements
  • Collaborate with the business team to ensure proper patient financial account audits
  • Communicate with dental insurance companies to process claims and obtain insurance breakdowns for patients.
  • Assist with any other administrative tasks as required to support the smooth operation of the business team.

Administrative Responsibilities:

  • Greet and assist patients as they arrive; ensure a lasting positive impression for them
  • Responsible for optimizing the appointment schedule by ensuring the day is full, with limited gaps
  • Effectively manage recall system and accurately maintain patient database
  • Manage patient calls and inquiries about appointments, confirmations, amendments and cancellations
  • Process referral letters and other patient correspondence upon receipt from provider; manage and file all patient records and charts
  • Support the fulltime Treatment Coordinator by encouraging patient acceptance of the dental treatment plan(s) by meeting their needs, answering questions and creating value for the proposed treatment

About You:

  • Minimum 1+ year(s) experience working in Accounts Receivable required
  • Minimum 2+ year(s) experience in an administrative and/or receptionist position required
  • Prior experience working in a dental office highly preferred
  • Experience with ABELdent preferred
