Client Support Specialists are responsible for troubleshooting first level requests/calls from hospital staff and physicians. Calls are taken either directly by telephone or re-directed through a queue for on-site support. They resolve basic technical questions and work on hardware/software/network problems related to individual computer access.

Client Support Specialists may also be responsible for monitoring the hospital's Data Centre operations, to ensure availability, performance, security and reliability - including operating procedures, system backups/restores and system maintenance procedures.

Regular Full-Time

Rate of Pay:
$29.28 per hour - $36.62 per hour

Hours of Work: 37.5 hours per week

Qualifications:

Successful completion of a College diploma in Computer Science, Computer Networking, or Computer Specialist
A+ Hardware Certificate, MCSE or CNA preferred
Minimum (1) year recent, related experience in a high volume computer support environment
Excellent customer service and personal interaction skills
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
Proficient problem resolution and troubleshooting skills and aptitude
Proficient technical and analystical skills
Demonstrated commitment to the principles of patient and family centered care
Demonstrated knowledge of and commitment to patient and staff safety
Demonstrated practice and commitment to LHSC's Mission, Vision and Values
Demonstrated ability to attend work on a regular basis

Immunization Requirements:

Provide vaccination records or proof of immunity against measles, mumps, rubella and varicella (chicken pox), Hepatitis B, Tetanus/ Diphtheria/Polio; Meningitis.
Provide documentation of the Tuberculosis skin testing (two step) and COVID vaccine series.
