Rubber Moulder Day Shift
Shift
Day (Mon-Fri, 6:00am to 2:30pm)
Duties and Responsibilities
Duties and responsibilities will include, but not being limited to, the following:
- Perform inspection, identify and segregate scrap or unacceptable parts.
- Operate multiple compression or injection molding machines to produce moulded parts.
- Cure rubber or rubber/metal bushings under pressure and heat per work instructions.
- As a mold separates during the change cycle, remove all excess flash, clean and spray all necessary parts of the mold.
- Load mold with metal inserts, if required, activate the press for the next cycle, take mold temperature measurements as required.
- Maintain records per work instructions and other production related documents.
- Performs process checks such as visual inspection, mold temperature checks and other process verifications related to quality assurance.
- Assist other press operators as required.
- Maintain press, work area, and other equipment in the area in a neat, clean, safe, and orderly condition.
- Notify lead hand immediately of lack of material, equipment malfunction or failure, or quality problems.
- Perform own material handling with various types of equipment such as pump carts and forklifts.
- Ability to spot part defects
- Must have no sensitivity to rubber fumes.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Manager.
- Follow Quality Management System (QMS) requirements as outlined in the applicable QMS procedures or work instructions, and suggest ways for continual improvement.
- Follow OHS rules and regulations.
- Promptly report personal injuries and unsafe conditions and help to resolve them.
While shift work is currently taking place at Timbren, all new employees should recognize that they can and will be expected to work on a different shift or a different start and end time than they were originally assigned to if deemed necessary by the company.
Other requirements
- Must follow detailed written and verbal instruction.
- Must have CSA approved steel toed work boots.
- Must have excellent hand / eye coordination.
- Must have the ability to work in an area that can be uncomfortable due to noise and extreme temperatures.
- Mechanically inclined and detailoriented work.
- Lifting up to 40 lbs.
- Must work well independently as well as part of a team.
- Ability to receive direction from Supervisor with positive attitude at all times.
Job Types:

$19.00-$20.00 per hour
