Have you done transcription in primary care?

Do you have experience completing WSIB forms, Letters, Submissions, Disability Tax Credit Forms, Insurance Forms etc

This position involves front desk work during lunch coverage and vacation time. This includes answering phones, fax sorting, prescription renewals, faxing, managing patient flow, stocking the rooms, booking appointments, etc. Is this something you would be interested in?

Do you have experience billing OHIP ?

Are you familiar with Ocean eReferral?

Big Bay Medical Clinic is looking for a Part-time or Full-time Medical Secretary/Transcriptionist in a fast-paced, high-volume work environment for One Family Physician and One Nurse Practitioner in Barrie.

Serving a large rostered patient population, you will provide a variety of administrative support to the medical clinic. Please note this job cannot be done remotely.


Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:


  • Prepare correspondence in response to written request for copies of personal health information
  • Transcribe confidential reports with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Proofread to ensure accuracy
  • Attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to data enter 55 to 60 WPM with 80% accuracy
  • Advanced ability to proofread, identify and correct errors
  • Demonstrated ability to selfmanage, prioritize and collaborate in a teamoriented, high volume, timesensitive environment
  • Write a variety of documents including correspondence, reports, referrals
  • Process clinical and thirdparty service billings.
  • Sensitivity towards the handling of personal health information
  • Occasional coverage for the Front Desk Reception
  • Completion of a Medical Office Administration training program with previous experience in medical terminology and transcription (an asset)
  • Passion for helping people with a high degree of integrity and professionalism
  • Excellent verbal/written communication with superb client service and organizational skills
  • Ability to work well and adapt in a fastpaced environment and be able to multitask efficiently
  • Excellent problemsolving skills and detail oriented
  • Proficiency with Accuro EMR (an asset)
  • Thrives when multitasking and working in a fastpaced environment
  • Ability to think proactively, work independently with mínimal supervision and guidance in a teamoriented environment
  • Willingness to go beyond one's own job description to assist the team as needed
  • Knowledge of office procedures

Qualifications

  • Minimum of
    1 year of
    working experience, preferably in a busy clinical setting.
  • Living close to the clinic and/or a valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle is an asset. Looking for someone reliable who can commute to the clinic.

$18.00-$20.00 per hour
