Description
Responsibilities:
- Conduct tree inspections and assessments to evaluate tree health, structural integrity, and potential hazards.
- Perform tree pruning, trimming, and shaping to promote growth, maintain proper clearance, and enhance the appearance of trees.
- Remove dead, diseased, or hazardous branches using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Safely operate and maintain specialized equipment, including chainsaws, chippers, stump grinders, and aerial lifts.
- Assess and implement tree support systems, such as cables and braces, to ensure the stability and longevity of trees.
- Collaborate with clients, property owners, and colleagues to provide expert advice, address concerns, and develop effective tree care plans.
- Provide emergency tree services, including storm damage cleanup, fallen tree removal, and limb support.
- Maintain accurate records of tree care activities, including work performed, recommendations, and client communications.
- Stay uptodate with industry trends, best practices, and safety guidelines related to arboriculture.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Arborist or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of tree species, their growth patterns, and specific care requirements.
- Proficiency in tree pruning, shaping, and removal techniques.
- Ability to identify and diagnose tree diseases, pests, and nutrient deficiencies.
- Familiarity with the safe operation and maintenance of arboriculture equipment.
- Excellent physical fitness and stamina to perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions.
- Strong problemsolving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
- A valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Education and Certification:
- High school diploma or equivalent. A degree or certification in Arboriculture, Forestry, or a related field is preferred.
- Certification as an Arborist by the International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) is highly desirable.
Work Environment and Physical Demands:
- The role involves climbing trees, using ladders, and operating heavy machinery.
Salary:
$25.00-$45.00 per hour
