Nature & Scope:

Reporting directly to the Team Lead, Cleaning, the Cleaner will work as part of a team that will consistently maintain a high level of cleanliness within the facility.

The Cleaner will ensure that members have a clean and safe facility to enjoy all that the YMCA of Eastern Ontario has to offer.

Responsibilities:

Ensure that all assigned areas are cleaned as per established protocols, monitoring all areas by walking throughout the facility regularly
Enter the change rooms on a regular basis for ongoing cleaning and to keep the supplies and equipment in good order
Know, follow and promote all established procedures and safety standards
Respond promptly to requests for cleaning services
Perform pool chemistry tests and record readings
Ensure good relations with YMCA staff, members, guests and the public
Lift and carry supplies weighing up to 40 lbs (18kg) as necessary
Assist with coverage of shifts as needed

Qualifications:

Criminal Reference Check (CPIC) including Vulnerable Sector Check completed not more than 120 days prior to date of hire, with results acceptable to the YMCA of Eastern Ontario
Current Standard First Aid and CPR level "C"
