Detailed Overview:
The Coordinator, Parking, Photo Identification & Access Control (PPIAC) is responsible for supporting the PPIAC program for a designated portfolio and/or geographical area including the Fraser Health Authority, Provincial Health Services Authority, Vancouver Coastal Health Authority and Providence Health Care (collectively,
- the Organization
- ); provides operational support by reviewing PPIAC transactions at the other health authorities including transfer of accounts; coordinates PPIAC expansion to facilitate the administration, integration and standardization of PPIAC processes, policies and procedures across the Organization


Responsibilities:

  • Participates in the development, implementation, maintenance and evaluation of the PPIAC program, policies, rates and procedures for an assigned portfolio and/or designated geographical area of the Organization, in collaboration with the Manager, PPIAC.
  • Supports the daytoday functions for an assigned portfolio and/or designated geographical area of the Organization's PPIAC program by maintaining parking and access card distribution controls and related documentation, coordinating the distribution of parking and photo identification cards ensuring cards are accurate and transferred to the appropriate site.
  • Works with the Manager to introduce, update and/or implement new or changed processes, structures and systems for the PPIAC program across the Organization to ensure all sites are operating under a consistent set of guidelines; identifies areas of concern and implements corrective action, as directed by the Manager or designate.
  • Works with assigned staff to respond to PPIAC queries and complaints; escalates issues to the Manager or designate, as required for resolution and/or further clarification.
  • Provides supervision and direction to assigned clerical staff and ensures the smooth functioning of PPIAC processes by maintaining parking and access card distribution controls, related documentation and coordinating clerical staff schedules.
  • Prepares confidential, financial and legal communications of a sensitive nature including investigations, strategic planning and human resource documents relating to PPIAC operations; works with the Manager to identify, develop and create business cases to support various cost containment or revenue generating initiatives for the Organization for PPIAC operations
  • Assists with the development and maintenance of operating and capital budgets for the designated portfolio by ensuring expenditures are within budgetary allowances; makes recommendations regarding PPIAC operational, financial, audit and organizational priorities by preparing supporting documentation and work plans; coordinates or conducts site inspections and audits in support of service performance and risk mitigation.
