Perflex Label is a fast-growing privately owned label printing company in Scarborough. We are seeking an experienced Digital Press Operator. We have various work shifts available on a full-time or part-time basis.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES_
The operation and maintenance of the digital press (XEIKON 3300).
To work closely, and effectively with both the Graphics/Pre-Press department, and Digital Finishing department.
Must ensure that production schedules/deadlines are met.
Must ensure that all required internal documentation is accurately maintained at all times.
Must ensure that the products produced meet the highest quality standards as determined by the Production Supervisor.
Trouble shooting equipment issues as they occur and working with the XEIKON technical team when required in order to resolve all issues.
Conduct/perform all tasks and produce projects in accordance with company/department policies, procedures and processes.
Enforce daily maintenance/cleanliness of the surrounding work area.
Conduct, perform, and enforce all tasks while complying with all company Health and Safety policies and procedures.
Perform all other duties, as required.

_WORKING CONDITIONS_

Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs. periodically.
Extended periods of standing, bending and walking.
Hand and arm dexterity to make adjustments to equipment.

QUALIFICATIONS_

Completed high school diploma. Additional training and certification in digital printing is an asset.
A minimum of one year of previous experience operating digital printing equipment. Label printing experience would be a definite asset.
Proven reliability. Must be punctual and reliable.
Completed all company training as assigned.
Accurate and reliable recordkeeping skills are essential.
Intermediate levels of literacy and proficiency with reading, writing and arithmetic skills.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written).
Attentive to detail. Excellent visual acuity and colour differentiation ability.
High level of initiative. Able to work independently and be selfdirected and selfmotivated.
Strong work ethic, integrity and positive attitude.
Excellent teamwork and team building skills.
