IT Operations Manager
Reporting to the VP of IT and Innovations, the IT Operations Manager, is responsible for overseeing the overall operations and management of the IT department, ensuring that network and software components work seamlessly, analyzing processes and technologies for improvement, recommending and implementing solutions and upgrades, providing support, troubleshooting system issues, ensuring database integrity and security, developing and implementing policies and procedures, and evaluating and testing new technologies and tools.
Responsibilities:
- Learn how existing WHMS, Workforce Management and Transport systems function operationally; Understand the underlying data structures and relationships, so that any issues can be analyzed and be able to respond to end user questions.
- Perform advanced ETL processes by developing new C# or SSIS processes.
- Supervise IT Data and Support Team Members to improve service offerings, reduce timetodelivery, and adhere to SLAs.
- Assist with Level1 & Level2 support, evaluating resolutions, analyzing trends, and recommending automated solutions.
- Maintain and communicate IT Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and ensure adherence.
- Monitor and assess systems, troubleshoot errors, and maintain database integrity, security, and performance.
- Assist in developing and implementing policies and procedures for security, disaster recovery and IT standards and service desk.
- Assist in defining project scope, involving relevant team members, ensuring technical feasibility, and creating comprehensive project documentation.
- SQL database development.
- Develop, review, and refactor C# Unit Tests, to enhance our system validation processes.
- Use GitHub to commit and review other developer's code.
- Be able to publish C# code to Web or Application File Servers.
- Assist in managing the Development Sprints and workloads.
- Update existing C# codebase to make changes based on requirements submitted by internal and external users.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
- Experience in 3PL Logistics & Warehouse Fulfillment (GMP) is an asset.
- Strong project management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience managing software products from conception to launch.
- Experience working closely with development teams.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
- Proficiency in SSIS, SSRS, PowerBI, Microsoft SQL Query (T-SQL).
- Familiarity with Flagship iAddress (or other Canadian LCP Sortation product),
- Microsoft Visual Studio C# using Unit Testing and MOQ frameworks.
- Microsoft Business Technologies (Office 365, Teams, and Remote Desktop).
- Service Desk software and ITIL practices
- Knowledge of HRIS, such as UKG an asset.
