Primary Objective of the Position:

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Completing general ledger journal entries, including Month-End and Year-End activities.
Assist in the preparation and analysis of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
Reviewing coding on invoices and expense reports for accuracy.
Assisting with monthend close.
Assisting with general ledger accountability, overhead and recoveries monitoring, expense review and cost control, audit preparedness and account reconciliations.
Assisting with the development and implementation of internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
Collaborating with internal departments and external auditors during audits and financial reviews.
Managing the Accounts Payable department and responsible for complex vendor transaction.
Supporting and mentoring Administrators, providing guidance and support to ensure performance goals are met.
Assisting the Controller, VP Finance and CFO with ad hoc requests.
Any other duties and responsibilities as assigned from time to time.

Minimum Qualifications:

Completion of a bachelor's degree in commerce with a Chartered Professional Accounting (CPA) Designation, or equivalent.
A minimum of 5 years of progressive relevant experience.
Advanced in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Proficiency in accounting software. SAP would be a definite advantage.
Superior communication and interpersonal skills, driven to support other team members' success.
Must be goal oriented, reliable and very organized.
Excellent analytical, problemsolving, and decisionmaking abilities.
Strong time management skills, with an ability to multitask.
Ability to work closely with senior management at all levels within the organization.
Cargo transportation industry or airline experience would be an asset.
