Education:
A Mechanical Engineering degree with P.Eng. designation.
Experience:
Minimum 10 years' direct work experience with applicable ASME
Languages:
Fluent in English, excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Other:
Must be eligible to work in Canada.
Job Summary:
Cemcorp is looking for an individual interested in a challenging role who wants to develop with and contribute to the company's growth and high standard of service.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- Review Pressure Vessel designs to verify compliance with ASME Boiler & Pressure Vessel Code and CSA B51 Code, certifying these designs to obtain Canadian Registration Numbers (CRNs).
- Review pressure piping and fitting designs to verify compliance with applicable ASME piping code and CSA B51 Code, and certifying these designs to obtain CRNs.
- Assist clients to find solutions in order to meet the applicable codes and standards.
- Recommend improvements to current designs.
- Maintain knowledge of the most current ASME code editions and addenda.
Education & Skills:
- University degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Licensed professional engineering designation in the province of Ontario (P.Eng.)
- Minimum 10 years of direct work experience with applicable ASME Codes, CSA Standards, regulations, guidelines, and associated standards.
- Direct knowledge of Pressure Vessel and Pressure Piping design including the manufacturing methodologies.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and Pressure Vessel Design software is an asset.
- Awareness of ISO 9001 standards.
Other Desired Qualifications:
- Proven track record in pressure vessel design and manufacturing.
- Practical experience with design changes for older, used pressure vessels. Includes working knowledge of API 5791 /ASME FFS
- Ability to prepare technical reports based on design review findings.
- High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.
- Ability to conduct presentations to clients, if required.
- Ability to prepare client proposals.
