We're growing our team and are looking for 2 new colleagues to join the team. As an
HR Advisor you will be part of the production and HR teams.
You will play a vital role in supporting the day-to-day human resources functions for a diverse client group of salary and hourly staff within the manufacturing facility.
These are in-person roles located in our London and Stittsville, Ottawa plants.

Headquartered in Etobicoke, Ontario Saand has over 4 decades of glass fabrication experience and has helped construct some of Ontario's most iconic buildings.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Act as the first point of contact for employees regarding HRrelated questions and concerns fostering an opendoor policy approach to support the wellbeing, health, and safety of employees.
- Provide plant level support for recruitment activities. Support new hire orientation and onboarding processes ensuring seamless integration for new employees Complete on and offboarding processes e.g., new hire surveys, exit interviews, change form submissions, building access, PPE assignment and collection.
- Provide endtoend employee service and support needs such leaves management program (LOA, STD, WSIB, LTD, maternity/parental, etc.) including regular followup to the employee, updates to supervisors about return to work and completes related administrative requirements.
- Participate in plant lean initiatives e.g., Gemba walks, production meetings, and other continuous improvement activities.
- Collaborate with the local Plant Manager and HR Manager to proactively promote employee engagement, safety, and wellness initiatives, including participation in safety program initiatives, Jira safety incident report reviews, Toolbox and Small Talks and other employee and wellness communication needs or events.
- Active participation in the local Joint Health & Safety Committee
- Coordinate and track employee training programs to ensure compliance with safety and skill development initiatives.
- Maintain accurate and uptodate employee records, including personnel files, attendance, and timekeeping records.
- Stay abreast of the latest employment and human resources best practices.
- Assist the HR team with other interesting projects.
What we are looking for
- A positive attitude, a willingness to learn and motivation to succeed in a fastpaced environment.
- Post secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent work experience). Actively working towards or has attained their CHRP designation.
- Up to 2 years prior experience in HR in a manufacturing or production environment is preferred.
- Working knowledge of HR practices, procedures, employment laws and principles, as well as exposure to lean principles as applied in a manufacturing plant.
- Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Strong drive for results orientation; ability to prioritize, plan and execute.
- Detail and analytical orientation; capable of handling sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Strong MS Office skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Teams, Outlook
Working Conditions:
- This role is primarily based within a manufacturing facility, and the HR Advisor will be expected to work
onsite to provide immediate HR support as required. - Monday to Friday 40hours work week; occasional afternoon/evening shift hours and travel to Toronto.
