In order to keep up with our growth we will be seeking experienced, professional, energetic, goal-oriented individuals to complement our organization.

Responsibilities:

Planning, directing and coordinating all accounting operational functions;
Managing the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data necessary for an accurate accounting of consolidated business results;
Coordinating and preparing internal and external financial statements;
Coordinating activities of external auditors;
Providing management with information vital to the decisionmaking process;
Supporting the budget process;
Assessing current accounting operations, offering recommendations for improvement and implementing new processes;
Evaluating accounting and internal control systems;
Evaluating the effectiveness of accounting software and supporting database, as needed;
Developing and monitoring business performance metrics
Overseeing regulatory reporting, frequently including tax planning and compliance; and
Hiring, training and retaining skilled accounting staff.

Requirements:

Canadian Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation;
Minimum 7 years' of relevant experience in managing accounting functions in $100M+ company including sizable intercompany operations;
Strong leadership, people management skills and ability to motivate
Experience in transportation or else fast moving /high transactions volume industry is a significant asset;
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance;
Working experience with QuickBooks (knowledge of any large ERP systems is a plus);
Solid communication, technology, analytical and management skills;
Can to perform several tasks concurrently with ease and professionalism;
Able to handle confidential and sensitive information with a high degree of discretion;
Excellent organizational and prioritization skills; and
Ability to work in a dynamic and fast paced environment.
Russian language is an asset, but not required
