Business Technology Solutions System UAT Test Lead

The BTS System Business UAT Test Lead needs to support and drive the testing preparation, script review and to secure resources and test data.

Main accountabilities

Working with business users and project stakeholders to:
To execute (and update if required) the UAT approach and ensuring project lead's involvement and key stakeholders understand the same
Consolidate UAT scope and driving the UAT scripting and approval process (incl. modifications required)
Consolidate UAT scope and driving the UAT execution review and approval process
Schedule and drive UAT sessions with business users and key stakeholders
Coordinate setup of test data with relevant stakeholders
Familiarising business testers with how to use Jira, run scripts, record results, raise defects, etc
Creation of UAT Test Report and coordinate signoffs (GxP)
Estimating resource needs, based on scope, and communicating any delays in the execution of UAT
Test lead need to make sure that the UAT CornerStone training have been completed before the testers start to execute tests.
Ensuring system validation is conducted and approval to launch the system into production.
Coordinate the business test strategy and plan with project manager and other stakeholders
Convey the testing perspective to other project activities such as integration planning

Testing Planning

Understand the overall test objectives and risks including finalizing test approaches; estimating time, effort, and cost of testing; acquiring resources; defining test levels and cycles; acceptance criteria and planning incident management.
Initiate the specification, preparation, implementation, and execution of test cycle. Monitor the test results and check the exit criteria.
Adapt planning based on test results and progress (sometimes documented in status reports) and take any action necessary to compensate for problems.
Setup adequate configuration management of testing software for traceability.
Introduce suitable metrics for measuring testing progress and evaluating the quality of the testing and the product Write or review a test strategy for the project and test policy for the organization
Work with business SMEs to define UAT scenarios
Work with IT test lead/Project to understand release scope
Plan UAT by making sure business SMEs are allocated for UAT
Ensure UAT is documented correctly in Jira and reported correctly in Test report
A UAT Test Lead may need to act as a backup for the System Owner in their assigned area
