Flower Power Landscape Maintenance is looking to build a capable team who cares about their work, likes to gain new skills and knowledge, and finds meaning in completing excellent landscape maintenance jobs for customers.

As our Landscape Maintenance Lead Hand, you'll work closely with the founder to develop new skills, hone existing skills, and gain a new level of experience and knowledge as you grow alongside the business.

• Discuss the daily work, tasks, and focuses with the owner in the morning
• Drive the team to the various job sites to perform multiple landscape maintenance tasks alongside your team
• Communicate with the owner throughout the day to provide updates, gain new knowledge and experience, and make the best judgements at the moment to resolve unknowns on job sites to ensure customer satisfaction
• Review and approve the work of your team members, and provide feedback, coaching, and recognition as needed
• Conclude each day with staff by reviewing the accomplishments, sharing feedback and suggestions, and with the boss organizing the equipment for the next day's work
• A minimum of 3 years of experience working in the residential landscape maintenance industry
• A minimum of 1 year of leadership or management experience

• A desire to learn new skills, gain new knowledge and experiences, and support the collective growth of your team, the business, and yourself
• Able to lead, mentor, and develop small teams in continuous improvement in a positive, friendly, and accountable manner

• A willingness to have staff safety top of mind and ensure all staff follows safety procedures
• Above rudimentary plant knowledge regarding identification, planting, growth patterns, and pruning of plants, shrubs, and trees
• An enjoyment of working both independently and as part of a team
• An eye for detail while able to work at a fast pace and multitask with what your team members are completing
• A valid unrestricted driver's licence
• A high proficiency in speaking English
